Schnitz Racing offers ECU Reflashing for the Kawasaki ZX-14 that is restricted in the following ways:
- Limited Hard Acceleration by Restricting Secondary Throttle Blade Opening
- Reduced Peak Power Output by Limited Ignition Timing and/or RPM
- Top Speed Limit or High Gear RPM Limits
These restrictions are used to control power output to allow easier control of the motorcycle for street conditions. However, these will limit the full potential of engine for racing use. Allow us to eliminate these restrictions and allow your engine to run the way it should.
Kawasaki ZX14 (06-11) Reflash Features:
- Increased Rev Limiter to 11,500RPM (+500rpm from stock)
- Top Speed Limiter Removed
- Gear Based Fuel Trims Removed from Gears 1-3
- Secondary Throttle Blades Open More Aggressively And Stay Open
- Radiator Fans Set to come on at 90*C (194*F)
- Optional: Adjust the Fuel Tables in the ECU to match your Exhaust System (Additional $125)
What is ECU Reflashing? ECU stands for "Engine Control Unit." It is the computer that takes information from the various sensors on the engine like crankshaft RPM, manifold pressure and throttle position to determine how much fuel to deliver through the fuel injectors and when to fire the ignition coils. The computer "chip" that is the heart of the ECU is usually an EEPROM -- an Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory chip. The Read Only part of that means the chip retains its programming without periodic electronic refreshing; loss of electrical power doesn't lead to the chip losing its programming (It's like the CMOS BIOS of a computer). "Flashing" the chip involves electronically erasing the read only program and replacing it with new, updated information (the engine control 'map').
How can you offer this at such a low price? We have been tuning sport bikes for 15 years. Our business is offering performance products for motorcycles. If an ECU is programmed to limit power output of that engine, then our products performance will not meet your expectations. We want to ensure you get all you can out of your purchase from us. Pulling the ECU data is no longer a “black science” limited to just a handful of computer wizards that have an exclusive on this technology and expect you to pay 3 or 4 times our price. We’ve been doing this since 2006 on Suzuki sportbikes that were limited. Now we have expanded to various other models.
How does your service differ from others – Our reflashing services remove restrictions that the OEM's have programmed to meet government regulations and that reduce throttle response and power output for novice riders. You are not purchasing a “lifetime” flashing subscription for services you won’t use. Our a la carte style checkout system allows you to purchase only the options you need. While we do offer fuel adjustments to match aftermarkets exhaust systems, we believe that you should have control over fuel adjustments with units such as Power Commanders that can be adjusted to match your specific needs.

This flash was really gave me a bang for my bucks
This flash brought my 09 zx14 to live... I noticed right off the back the difference in my rpm range I can now hold every gear longer.. Having the top end speed restriction removed makes this bike feel like a rocket.. I'm VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE I GOT FROM SCHNITZ

I've been riding with the flashed ecu for about a week now and I'm happy! As soon as I hit a patch of open road.. I pinned it and holy SCHNITZ!!!! Haha I was hitting 280kph in 4th gear!! I've noticed a pretty drastic increase in top end power.. really happy! So I just wanted to say thanks!

Unleash your bikes true potential
I have a 2008 Kawasaki ZX14 and I was not sure if the price was worth have the ECU flashed and fuel tables adjusted. When I put the product on the bike which came back 3 days later, I was totally schooled and surprised on how much power it unleashed. I would recommend this to anyone looking to unlock horsepower. A New Motorcycle
I was skeptical about the ECU reflash. So I reluctantly paid the price and sent my ECU to Schnitz Racing. I sent it out on a Friday and got it back on Wednesday. I put it in my bike and wow what a difference. Acceleration is much more smoother in the first second and third gears. There's no lag, there is no bog down, and all in all it's just a better smoother acceleration curve than stock. I recommend this ECU flash to anyone with a ZX14 as it really opens up the true potential of the motorcycle.

Delivers What is Advertised (07 ZX14)
With this Re-flash, you immediately wake any flat spots the factory tuning/limitations that were in place. The performance effects are felt as soon as you crack the throttle open. Well worth the price and is probably the single cheapest mod you can do to feel the immediate bang for the buck. Great product.

Got my 07 zx14 reflash as well As a fuel table to match my exhaust and I must say my scoot runs better than ever and I get 10x more gas mileage.... 5 star rating from me.
