Motorcycle Chain Length Calculator
MOTORCYCLE CHAIN LENGTH CALCULATOR
The following chart can be used as a guide to determine the length of chain you need for your gearing and wheelbase. You will need to determine the distance between the center of the output shaft (center of front spocket) and the center of the rear axle. Use the measurement on the left side of the chart. Then determine your rear spocket size. The point on the chart where these two cross will be your required chain length.
This chart can be used on 520, 525 or 530 pitch chains and is based off a 17 tooth front sprocket. If you have a larger sprocket, add 1 link of chain for every tooth. If you have a smaller front spocket, reduce 1 link of chain for every tooth.
