Product Description
Schnitz Racing offers ECU reflashing for the Suzuki GSX-S1000/1000F. Our Reflash will smooth out the jerky on off throttle and reduce engine braking by disabling the decel fuel cut. Get smoother throttle control and increased power.
Most new motorcycles are restricted in one or more of the following ways:
- Decreased Ignition Timing at High RPM and/or Lower Gears (1-2-3-4)
- Limited Hard Acceleration by Restricting Secondary Throttle Blade Opening
- Reduced Peak Power Output by Limited Ignition Timing and/or RPM
- Top Speed Limit or High Gear RPM Limits
These restrictions are used to control power output to allow easier control of the motorcycle for street conditions. However, these will limit the full potential of engine for racing use. Allow us to eliminate these restrictions and allow your engine to run the way it should.
Suzuki GSX-S1000/1000F (15-20) Reflash Features:
- Smoother Throttle With More Control
- Increased Rev Limiter to 12,600RPM (+500rpm over stock)
- Top Speed Restriction Removed
- Secondary Throttle Blades Open More Aggressively And Stay Open
- Ignition Timing Retard Disabled
- Gear Based Fuel Trims Removed
- Stock O2 Sensor FI Disabled
- Radiator Fan Set to Come On at 90*C (194*F)
- Deceleration Fuel Cut Disabled
- Fuel Adjustments To Smooth Power
- Optional: Disable PAIR Valve FI Code (If removing emissions components)
- Optional: Disable Exhaust Servo Motor (If using a full exhaust system)
What is ECU Reflashing? ECU stands for "Engine Control Unit." It is the computer that takes information from the various sensors on the engine like crankshaft RPM, manifold pressure and throttle position to determine how much fuel to deliver through the fuel injectors and when to fire the ignition coils. The computer "chip" that is the heart of the ECU is usually an EEPROM -- an Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory chip. The Read Only part of that means the chip retains its programming without periodic electronic refreshing; loss of electrical power doesn't lead to the chip losing its programming (It's like the CMOS BIOS of a computer). "Flashing" the chip involves electronically erasing the read only program and replacing it with new, updated information (the engine control 'map').
How can you offer this at such a low price? We have been tuning sport bikes for 15 years. Our business is offering performance products for motorcycles. If an ECU is programmed to limit power output of that engine, then our products performance will not meet your expectations. We want to ensure you get all you can out of your purchase from us. Pulling the ECU data is no longer a “black science” limited to just a handful of computer wizards that have an exclusive on this technology and expect you to pay 3 or 4 times our price. We’ve been doing this since 2006 on Suzuki sportbikes that were limited. Now we have expanded to various other models.
How does your service differ from others – Our reflashing services remove restrictions that the OEM's have programmed to meet government regulations and that reduce throttle response and power output for novice riders. You are not purchasing a “lifetime” flashing subscription for services you won’t use. Our a la carte style checkout system allows you to purchase only the options you need. While we do offer fuel adjustments to match aftermarkets exhaust systems, we believe that you should have control over fuel adjustments with units such as Power Commanders that can be adjusted to match your specific needs.
What is the PAIR Valve? The PAIR valve is a solenoid that opens to allow fresh air to enter into the exhaust system to aid in burning hydrocarbons to reduce emissions. There is no performance gain from removing the PAIR valve. The only possible benefit is reduced deceleration backfire or popping. If this is removed, a code will be tripped and the dash FI light will turn on. We can disable this in the ECU for a small fee.
What is the Exhaust Valve Servo Motor? The exhaust valve is a butterfly valve in the OEM exhaust system that is used to lower exhaust noise. Many aftermarket exhausts eliminate this valve. If a delete device is not installed, a code will be tripped and the dash FI light will turn on. We can disable this in the ECU for a small fee.

ECU Flash
The ECU flash corrected some problems on my GSXS1000F. The staff was very helpful and answered many of my questions up front.

Worth every penny
Mandatory upgrade if you ride a GSX-S. Smooths out the throttle from closed to wide open. Pulls like a freight train through the whole rev range. Extra RPM is also nice at times. I have been through two different fuel/ignition controllers and this has by far been the best option. Don't hesitate, get this upgrade.

GSX S1000 ECU Reflash
Thanks! More stable and manageable when decelerating.

ECU
Exactly what I was looking for and very fast service. I sent the ECU out on a Tuesday and got it back on Friday.

So Smooth!
Today was the first chance I had to take this for a ride since you re-flashed the ECU. Wow, what a difference, it's so smooth now. Thanks a bunch!

Less buzzy
Definitely got rid of most of the jerky throttle. Seems smoother but responsive at the same time. Another thing I observed after a long ride yesterday. The engine seems way less buzzy. Before within 30 miles my hands would already be going numb. I didn't notice any numbness. I know a lot of people are on the quest for maximum HP but the little things are nice also.
