Product Description
Schnitz Racing offers ECU reflashing for popular sport bike models to increase performance and removed OEM/government restrictions.
Most new motorcycles are restricted in one or more of the following ways:
- Decreased Ignition Timing at High RPM and/or Lower Gears (1-2-3-4)
- Limited Hard Acceleration by Restricting Secondary Throttle Blade Opening
- Reduced Peak Power Output by Limited Ignition Timing and/or RPM
- Top Speed Limit or High Gear RPM Limits
These restrictions are used to control power output to allow easier control of the motorcycle for street conditions. However, these will limit the full potential of engine for racing use. Allow us to eliminate these restrictions and allow your engine to run the way it should.
Kawasaki ZX10R (11-15) Reflash Features:
- Increased Rev Limiter to 14,000 RPM (+500rpm from stock)
- Top Speed Restriction Removed
- Secondary Throttle Blades Open More Aggressively And Stay Open at Full Throttle
- More Power Gain Than "Jumper Mod" Without The Hesitation below 3,000 RPM
- Ignition Timing Retard above 12,000 RPM Disabled
- Traction Control Set to Retain Last Setting (Great for those who hate turning that $hit back off every time you turn the key on) *You still have full adjustment and use of the traction control settings.
- Power Modes Switching Restriction Disabled
- Smoother Deceleration with Reduced Exhaust Backfire
- Radiator Fan Set to come on at 90*C (194*F)
- Stock O2 Sensor Disabled
- Optional: Disable Exhaust Valve Servo Motor (For those with full exhaust systems)
- Optional: Disable AIS (PAIR) (FI Code 64) (If removing emissions components)
- Optional: Disable Intake Flap (FI Code 2d)
- Optional: Adjust the Fuel Tables in the ECU to match your Exhaust System (Additional $125)
What is ECU Reflashing? ECU stands for "Engine Control Unit." It is the computer that takes information from the various sensors on the engine like crankshaft RPM, manifold pressure and throttle position to determine how much fuel to deliver through the fuel injectors and when to fire the ignition coils. The computer "chip" that is the heart of the ECU is usually an EEPROM -- an Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory chip. The Read Only part of that means the chip retains its programming without periodic electronic refreshing; loss of electrical power doesn't lead to the chip losing its programming (It's like the CMOS BIOS of a computer). "Flashing" the chip involves electronically erasing the read only program and replacing it with new, updated information (the engine control 'map').
How can you offer this at such a low price? We have been tuning sport bikes for 15 years. Our business is offering performance products for motorcycles. If an ECU is programmed to limit power output of that engine, then our products performance will not meet your expectations. We want to ensure you get all you can out of your purchase from us. Pulling the ECU data is no longer a “black science” limited to just a handful of computer wizards that have an exclusive on this technology and expect you to pay 3 or 4 times our price. We’ve been doing this since 2006 on Suzuki sportbikes that were limited. Now we have expanded to various other models.
How does your service differ from others – Our reflashing services remove restrictions that the OEM's have programmed to meet government regulations and that reduce throttle response and power output for novice riders. You are not purchasing a “lifetime” flashing subscription for services you won’t use. Our a la carte style checkout system allows you to purchase only the options you need. While we do offer fuel adjustments to match aftermarkets exhaust systems, we believe that you should have control over fuel adjustments with units such as Power Commanders that can be adjusted to match your specific needs.
What is the Exhaust Valve Servo Motor? The exhaust valve is a butterfly valve in the OEM exhaust system that is used to lower exhaust noise. Many aftermarket exhausts eliminate this valve. If a delete device is not installed, a code will be tripped and the dash FI light will turn on. We can disable this in the ECU for a small fee.
What is the intake flap? The Intake flap is used to lower intake noise. It is closed at low RPM and open at high RPM. If this is removed, a code will be tripped and the dash FI light will turn on. We can disable this in the ECU for a small fee.
What is the pair valve? The PAIR valve is a solenoid that opens to allow fresh air to enter into the exhaust system to aid in burning hydrocarbons to reduce emissions. There is no performance gain from removing the PAIR valve. The only possible benefit is reduced deceleration backfire or popping. If this is removed, a code will be tripped and the dash FI light will turn on. We can disable this in the ECU for a small fee.

14 ZX10R Yoshi 3/4th r77d
Just as I was feeling kinda stagnant with my bike, I finally gave into reflashing the ECU... Made a very noticeable difference and with the custom fuel tables for exhaust, it becomes the most no hassle way to reflash. My only complaint is not offering more customizability to the power levels for additional fuel maps but at this point its just asking for extra!

Ecu
Bike runs harder than ever. 100% coming back to them on my next bike.

Gen 4 zx10r ECU Reflash

2015 ZX10 rides like it was meant from Kawasaki
The bike accelates so much smoother and quicker. The Schnitz flash and tables adjustment coupled with my quickshifter...better squeeze the tank a little tighter!

Just giving my 2 cents.

The best bang for your buck. I was amazed with the product and turn around.
As I have been searching the inner Web for someone to flash my ecu, I had scored some info from a friend that he only uses Schnitz Racing for all his needs so I gave it a shot and found that for the price they had go to the next level and programed my ecu to it best set up. They are #1 in my book and they will have all my business in the future.

2013 Ninja ZX10R POWER BOOST!!!!!
I sent my ECU for re-flashing back in the winter. I had to wait patiently a few months until I could test it out on my bike. The turn around was quick like the website says. I can verify improved horsepower across the board-NOT just at peak!!! The mid-range is better and there is now no hesitation at take off. It's definitely worth it. The best thing about the re-flash is the removal of the speed limit restriction. I have already recommended and sent a few friends of mine ECUs for re-flashing as well.

FAST Turn around time
Absolutely the best money spent on a performance upgrade.. I run a Dyno in New Jersey and I recommend all my customers to have their ECU flashed to remove factory limiters before I tune their fuel map. Schnitz has the ECU back to me in 2 days when needed and I can tune the bike to it's full potential.

2015 ZX-10R
Schnitz Racing performed everything as described. Less than a one week turnaround, ECU was reprogrammed and shipped back within the same day. The increase in performance is substantial and at a great price. When compared to other ECU mods this is by far the best, a simple and cheap way to unlock the true power of the ZX-10R.
