Product Description
The ZVX3 series chains are the perfect OE replacement for any of today’s stock Extreme Sport Bikes.
The Ultimate Sport Bike Chain.
In a direct comparison to all other premium chains, the EK ZVX easily surpasses every other brand with a tensile strength of 11,100 lbs. The ZVX3 features EK’s Quadra-X Ring design to increase wear life and reduce friction for maximum engine performance. If you own a Hayabusa, ZX-14 or any of the new generation of 180hp literbikes the 530ZVX3 is the chain you need.
How long of a chain do I need? - Add 10 pins for every 3 inches of swingarm you add.
PRO TIP - Extend the life of your chain and sprockets by removing encrusted deposits of grease, sand and dirt.
- Thoroughly clean the chain with a non aggressive solvent, such as Motul Chain Clean/Degreaser. Using gasoline or harsh chemicals can cause damage to the O-rings.
- Lubricate the chain with a high quality chain lube. It must be fluid enough to get between the chain rollers and plates. It must also be thick enough and adhesive enough to withstand high rotations. On top of that it has a water-repellent role, so you can see why oil or grease are ineffective solutions. Motul Road Formula Chain Lube is ideal and comes in a convenient aerosol can to minimize overspray.
- Repeat this every 500 miles or after a weekend at the track.
*Note - All chains come with (1) Rivet Style Master Link. Be sure to order new sprockets with your new chain.

Heavy-Duty 530ZVX Gold
I've used this chain on my 2006 ZX14, 2008 ZX14, and now a new 2012 ZX14R. It is great at seamlessly transferring torque and horsepower compared to many others on the market. I have never had trouble with this brand. I clean it every 500 to 750 miles and re-wax it. When riding on asphalt and concrete roads that are free of dust, I perform a periodic inspection for dust setting on x-rings to make to 1200 to 1500 miles before a cleaning. Doing this, I just keep on rolling.
