Product Description
If you own a Suzuki Hayabusa of any year and you have modified your clutch in anyway, then pay close attention.
The clutch cover support from APE is designed to give maximum support to the clutch slave cylinder cover. The thin cover casting can crack when heavier clutch springs are installed.
Our support bracket is a direct bolt on and eliminates the flex that cracks the cover. This support offers less cover flex than any other support available.
*Note - Sometimes it is necessary to hand bend the coolant return pipe a bit to allow clearance for support bracket.

APE Clutch Slave Support Bracket
High quality part but all holes were off by 1/32nd of an inch. Had to drill the holes one size bigger to make the bracket fit.

Clutch Support
Wish I would have bought the schnitz racing support which I've used before with no problems. This support has four holes and one of the holes was off of an eighth of an inch. didn't really want to start having to drill out and file out the product to use but not a big deal for most people to handle just a pain after a long rebuild.

Excellent fit with great support
The APE clutch cover support is packaged well and has descriptive instructions. The curved support is made from a thick aluminum alloy and is very rigid. Be sure to properly clean any dirt away from the clutch cover so the support rests completely over the entire designed surface area. Fasteners are 6mm 12.9 grade. Bolt length and thread engagement is more than adequate and will allow a washer (sourced separately) to be used under the cap screw. Support dimensions and fitment is near perfect. The coolant return pipe is a brittle steel press-fitted part into a cast aluminum housing. I didn’t even try to move it because I have broken a different one of the same design before. The only way to repair it was to buy the entire assembly again. One option would be to remove the hose after you drain the coolant and then install the cover support. Another option is to lube the coolant hose and the cap screw and very slowly and cautiously tighten it. I used a lot of lube and twice as much patience so the coolant hose gently formed around it as the screw passed by. All 3 popular designs require a fastener in this position and there is no way to avoid this situation. I chose the APE design because I think it provides that extra level of support I want at a fair price. 4 stars for not using or providing washers.
